JOB TITLE: Part Time Driver

JOB GRADE: 40528

STATUS: Non-Exempt

REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

Two years of successful history in commercial moving and/or project estimating experience. Able to safely
operate cargo vans/box trucks for extended periods of time on the road. Possess a clean driving record.

The Part Time Driver will be utilized on an as needed basis to drive the van/and or commercial
trucks for the purpose of completing work orders. Secondly, the employee shall remain HIPPA-compliant
and complete yearly HIPPA-trainings. In addition the Driver is responsible for supervising the team
and maintaining the cleanliness of the work vehicle.

Provides direction to the team in utilizing tools and skills to successfully complete assigned work orders.
Safely operates assigned vehicle to transport and deliver/and or retrieve cargo and materials.
Prepares and plans for jobs one day in advance when possible; this includes route planning, gas in vehicle, money for tolls, confirmed staff, supplies, etc.
Brings questions and concerns regarding pending jobs to the attention of the Operations Manager at least one day prior to job execution to ensure proper attention and resolution can be given.
Uses GPS to assist with mileage management; reports mileage on a weekly basis, in addition to reporting mileage for specific jobs to be incorporated in overall customer billing.
Provides positive and professional customer service for customers; acts as customer liaison for the team.
Communicates with the Documents/Warehouse Team Lead prior to the end of the shift to ensure that deliveries in/out of the warehouse are scanned or labeled properly for storage or removal.
Maintains defensive driving.
Reads and interprets work order tickets.

Work Vehicle
Ensures van/truck is clean after every shift and in good working order.
Reports all accidents with vehicle to immediate supervisor and follows company protocol for reporting.
Maintains relationship with vehicle rental vendors and service departments to ensure quick turn-around.
Ensures van/truck has a full tank of gas and submits receipts to Operations Manager at the end of the shift.
Delegates assignments during offsite jobs.
Recognizes possible job hindrances and takes steps to resolve problems.
Reports daily route/time a form report submitted to the Operations Manager.
Coordinates the schedule for major or periodic vehicle maintenance with Operations Manager to minimize service interruptions.
Trustworthy and able to represent HCS with integrity.
Operates in full compliance with established policies and procedures.
Maintains collaboration between departments.
Represents Humanim in a fashion consistent with company values; demonstrates professionalism, dignity, and respect in all work related matters in the office and out in the community.
Provides proper notice of necessary lateness or absence; follows procedures for requesting time off.
Successfully completes all required training on time.
Follows all departmental agency policies and procedures.
Maintains all emergency and safety requirements.
Other job-related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or department Vice President.
