Master of Social Work (MSW) degree and certification as an LCSW or LCSW-C from an accredited University or School of Social Work Must have 2-3 years of social worker experience or related experience preferably in community mental health, outpatient, or human services setting. Preference given to candidates with at least one year of case management experience in the human services field. Knowledge of the Maryland welfare system, and familiarity with community resources and social services benefits in the Baltimore County area is strongly preferred. Personal Vehicle with valid Maryland Driver’s license and auto liability insurance required. Ability to travel throughout Baltimore County is required.

POSITION SUMMARY: Seeking a LCSW who is proactive, self- directed and experienced with service delivery to persons receiving social services benefits. Duties include receiving client referrals and conducting interviews, completing assessments, developing and making appropriate referrals to community resources (such as CPS) and facilitating client groups on life skills and wellness topics. Ability to provide client crisis intervention, trauma informed care, long term therapy, outreach to medical providers, and engage with the client’s inter-disciplinary team to set goals and long term plans. The LCSW will diagnose and treat mental health disorders such as anxiety and depression and help clients cope with life events. Must be proficient at monitoring and evaluating client progress and modifying treatment plans accordingly. Excellent communication (written and oral) and group/process skills. Proficiency with personal computer, with strong ability to navigate database systems, perform daily data entry, and compiling and tracking data related to client enrollment, outcomes, and client treatment and care. Must be able to perform as a key-worker in a non-clinical setting, and cooperate within a multi-manager organizational structure. Requires the ability to travel throughout Baltimore County (Essex, Towson, Catonsville) providing client intakes, counseling and assessments.
