Income and Owner/Renter Disaggregated by Race/Ethnicity

These two charts show the race/ethnicity breakdown of Howard County households in different income groups and of renter and owner households.

For example, among Howard County residents earning between $30,000 and $60,000 a year, 22% are Black, 8% are Hispanic, 52% are White, and 14% are Asian.  Among County households, 32 percent of renters are Black, compared to 13% of owners.

These two charts show the percentage of households of each race/ethnicity group in each income category and the percentage who are owners and renters.

For example, between 30 and 40 percent of each race/ethnicity group have annual income between $100,000 and $200,000 dollars.  47% of Blacks are renters compared to 19% of Whites.
