Since 1975, the Association of Community Services of Howard County has been recognizing people in our community with these prestigious awards to recognize the work that volunteers do in service to others that go above and beyond all expectations in their service to the community. Historically, the awards were named the Audrey Robbins Humanitarian Awards after the former Howard County Social Services Director who died in 1974. Click here to see all past awardees.
These awards not only recognize the achievements of those honored, but offer public recognition for the organizations and causes to which our honorees devote their time and energy.
See below for details on the 2022 awards!
After a two-year hiatus, ACS' Humanitarian Awards is back!! This (usually) annual event has been re-tooled and reimagined for 2022. This year, with the theme of "A Great Mosaic," we are celebrating the strength and resiliency of ALL of our members instead of a select few and the way their many talents and innovative programs created a mosaic of good works during the challenges of the past two years.
We are happy to say that this ACS fundraiser will be held in person and will have lots of food, drink and activities to promote connecting and reconnecting with nonprofit members and those who support them throughout the community!
This event promises lots of fun and great company! Located on the indoor/outdoor grounds of the NonProfit Collaborative, "A Great Mosaic" will feature:
- Food Stations from popular local food trucks
- Rum and Whiskey Tasting from Lost Ark Distillery
- ACS Signature Cocktail
- Cornhole Game
- Fun Photo Opportunities
- Mosaic Making
- Door Prize
- Debut of the dynamic digital "Great Mosaic" that will be featured on the ACS Website for the coming year
