“Between the Lines” will host online book club meetings on the Second and Fourth Monday of each month via Zoom from 6:30- 8:00 pm. In addition to these meetings, the book club will use the platform GoodReads to communicate and create community participation throughout the month. Book club moderators will be able to post discussion boards and keep the conversation going with the whole club’s participation.
February’s book is Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge, and the Teaching of Plants by Robin Wall Kimmerer. What does it mean to learn from the earth? How can indigenous traditions of the earth help us to uncover the answer to saving our planet? How does identity play a role in our environmental justice? Join us in discussing the fabulous words of Robin Wall Kimmerer and help us unpack how ecological consciousness and identity work together to help us understand the generosity of the earth.
