Howard EcoWorks is an environmentally focused nonprofit that empowers an under-served workforce to respect and restore our natural systems for future generations. Our vision is to lead the way in creating innovative solutions, developing skilled workers and creating partnerships for environmentally healthy and resilient communities.

Since 2017, our workforce development and environmental stewardship programs have literally been changing the landscape of Howard County for the better. The installation of dozens of best management practices and promising new research innovations like biochar keep us hopeful that together, we are:

• Educating people and communities to tend our shared natural resources
• Creating jobs and nurturing skills that will make a lasting difference in people’s lives
• Strengthening our ecosystem for years and years to come
