The Association of Community Services of Howard County’s Humanitarian Awards honor nonprofit organizations and volunteers who go above and beyond all expectations in their service to the Howard County community.
More than 114 individuals and organizations have been honored since the award’s creation in 1975. It is one of Howard County’s longest standing and most prestigious awards.
You definitely know someone…
Just reading those words often stimulate an immediate thought of the people in your world who are deserving of recognition. You know who they are. Chances are you work with them every day. This is where you play a key role. You nominate the candidates who go above and beyond in their service to others. You start the process that can lead to your colleagues joining the ranks of others who have been honored. Anyone may submit a nomination.

Criteria:
Awards will be presented at a luncheon on Thursday, May 7, 2020. Nominees must:
- be an ACS member
- be an individual volunteer or program team with a nonprofit organization providing the majority of its services in Howard County.
- demonstrate a history of creativity, innovation and accomplishments that positively impacts individuals, organizations, or the larger Howard County community.
